In signal processing, the image ("after the fold"/verso) function of a brane configuration [pencils✏️+🍄meshroom] :== its final state (some closed🔒 string) - an expression called fibor. The preimage will have mapped all frames to this compressor in a process known as stereotyping. (see mesh, opera, UUelcome, avatar)
/// In our case, since we tend to polymer structure determinance, these are akin to molecular mappings.

Howdy🤠.

This MOOC hosts a robust library of STEM widgets for workforce augmentation, all FREE + OPEN.

ed ('educational development') is for anyone who is interested in improving their earning posture. Figuring that pedagogy ('teaching children') only solves at most half the equation, we turn our attention to 'lifelong learners' who value career advancement/placement. As a resource, ed is applicable to adults seeking post-secondary readiness (industry certificates, nanodegrees, digital retraining, etc.) so that they can stay abreast of emerging technologies. Something like this should exist because the notions of work and learning are converging. That thesis prompts a re-training of an able growth base at scale in sectors that are challenged by automation.

this started because...

United States Army logo Every year in the United States, persons discharged from the military re-enter the workforce (private sector) as the second largest (depending on how you count) group of job seekers after college graduates.[a][b] Although some veterans already hold substantial training and backgrounds in technology, many lack the suggested credential(s) potential employers are demanding (these range from diplomas/degrees to vocational credits offered in-house by companies).[v][m] To assuage this, the Army may offer translatable civilian equivalents. However, without proper classroom rigor (as you would get in a college setting), lessons take longer to mature.[p]

# of available GIs/yr: 1.6million+

Generalizing all population tables, in order for workers to remain competitive, there should be available an easy-to-use exam preparation platform for adult learners to develop critical new skills.

target// The purpose of ed is to build a database of test materials that measure quantitative skills + analytical aptitude (query layer) gathered from methods of test delivery (eg. multiple choice, delayed/direct response, etc.) provided by different credentialing services. Then, with machine learning, automate (compute layer) all of those question-answer sessions so that it continuously outputs randomized exercises at rapid bursts that adapt to learning behaviors. The resource will show what to do and also what not to do. The eventuality (in theory) is an A+ grade/highest score in a reduced timeframe; research has shown that the 'flashcard' actualization is best for long-term retention[s].

ed's foci are information technology (IT) - specifically: networking, OS/serverside, cloud, plus cybersecurity, fundamentals+principles of engineering+surveying (eg. chemical, civil, computer/electrical, environmental, industrial/systems, and mechanical), as well as actuarial sciences (which largely tests for economic practices in the context of statistical modeling).

20% of all jobs now require a STEM background

We are using provisions from CompTIA, NCEES, and SOA, respectively (note that ed is not endorsed by or partnered with said organizations). At some point in the future (probably Phase 2), the program may issue its own certifications (ie. "ed Certified") as a derivative of course completion, but, for now, it is designed to align users with major endorsements.

ed's andragogy is open+organic: we emphasize 'threaded instruction' (ie. topics are branched from post-to-post, allowing for wiki-style on-demand feedback and collaboration), so anybody can tutor (similar to online encyclopedias, where anyone can edit).

The subjects of chemistry, mathematics, and physics were chosen because they most broadly represent STEM [👁infographic]. It can be argued that biology and computer science should be included in this matrix, but after asking exactly what that entails in terms of usefulness, I resigned to placing their topics under the umbrellas of chemistry (eg. biochemistry) and math, respectively. Physics is essentially just sub-chemistry (the study of particle interactions up to hydrogen); so the arrows would look like such: physics ↔ mathematics ⇒ chemistry.

Note that subjects are meant to supplement credentialing. Meaning that if you need further explanation (help) on a knowledge gap, you can then defer to an intermediary (coach) in realtime for details utilizing a whiteboard environment. The level of scholarship is on par with an ABET-accredited college/graduate program (ie. familiarity with the exam topics). The system is not designed to be flooded with elementary curiosity; if you have general math and/or science questions, you should take those elsewhere.

clean + quick

Also, if you are a tutor, plan on keeping your tutorial videos brief and right to the point. The shorter, the better (1 minute is the sweet spot). Successful outcomes are paramount; students are looking for answers and understanding, nothing more. Consider people's attention spans; long watchables of something like 1, 2, or 4 hours is unacceptable. I know it is tempting to explode your AdSense with lots of ad markers on vids, but it's better to rely on traffic for revenue rather than duration in this case. Remember, we're tutors, not teachers, so lecturing is out. If you want to express yourself with greater latitude, try Google Classroom. This is only a suggestion. You can do what you want, but going against the grade won't get your content put on ed's playlists.

ed is accessible+self-paced (Udacity, Coursera). Unencumbered by clutter (Udemy). Engaging in realtime (Khan Academy). And economical (Varsity Tutors).

There are companies (eg. Lambda School, 2U) today that are mixing-and-matching funds across investment vehicles to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars trying to push the MOOC industry forward.[c][t] Without knowing details of their expenditures or how they plan to settle the future, I can say that most, if not all, of the technologies needed to accomplish something like this already exist, and are public to-boot with near-empty accounting. So, my solution to this problem is largely synthesis, which enables ed to be a continuing education service provider at a fraction of the cost+time.

Encourage a world of wisdom.
